Norfolk holidays & caravan parks
The fourth largest county in England is also one of the quietest – an oasis of calm with big skies, dramatic sunsets and wide stretches of North Sea coastline
From bright lights to stunning natural sights, holidays in Norfolk offer you a whole host of ways to experience and enjoy the region. Norfolk is most notable for the Norfolk Broads and a rural history, but it’s not just greenery and wide open spaces you’ll find here – with a coastline that runs for nearly 100 miles, you’ll soon see why the area has been a favourite seaside holiday destination for well over 200 years.
If you’re an enthusiast of history or architecture, you’ll want to visit some of Norfolk’s 659 medieval churches – that’s the highest concentration in the world! You can also visit the imposing Norwich Cathedral, or Blickling Hall for other examples of stunning building work.
As we have one holiday park in Great Yarmouth, and two others very close by, we simply have to mention this classic seaside town. With two piers, a theatre that welcomes many well-known names across the summer months, and more bucket and spade or rock shops than it’s possible to visit, this is a great place to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday. But it’s far from the only beach in Norfolk; you can also take a drive out to Cromer, Gorleston, and Hunstanton – the most popular beach in Norfolk.
If your kids are animal lovers, Norfolk certainly won’t disappoint! With Sealife Centres at Great Yarmouth and Hunstanton, Pettits Animal Adventure Park, Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens and two zoos – Banham and Amazona – they can immerse themselves in furry and feathered friends all day long.
