Lake District holidays & caravan park
If you’re looking for a getaway with some truly stunning scenery to explore, there are few places in the UK that compare to a Lake District holiday
Famous for the breathtaking mountains, hillsides and lakes that give the region its name, you may be surprised to know that you can also find plenty of beaches in the Lake District, helping to make it one of the most popular holiday destinations in the UK, and one that draws around 15.8 million visitors every year.
A trip to the Lake District has to include a visit to two of its most iconic landmarks: the Old Man of Coniston and Scafell Pike. But if you don’t plan on travelling that far once you’ve arrived at our Lakeland Leisure Park there are still plenty of other amazing lakes and mountains closer by that will give you the full experience of this remarkable region.
The Lake District is steeped in history and you’ll have a great time discovering more about its past from the abandoned mines around Honister and the ruined abbey of Furness, to the literary landmarks of Dove Cottage and Rydal Mount, both former homes of William Wordsworth.
If you’ve brought the kids on holiday with you, make sure you visit The World of Beatrix Potter, a wonderful experience that brings Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggy-Winkle and the rest of Potter’s remarkable characters to life. Even if you’ve never read the books, your whole family will be enchanted by the magical world she created during a trip to this attraction.
From boat hire to bike hire and canoes to electric boats, there’s so much for you to see and do during a visit to the Lake District.
If you want to bring your own tent or tourer for your holiday we have 187 pitches available at our campsite in the Lake District with car parking spaces just ready and waiting for you. Our facilities include a heated shower block, a family room and two dishwashing areas – all just five minutes’ walk from all the fun our park has to offer, meaning everything’s in place for a great holiday camping in the lakes.
You can even book a golf break, where you can spend time perfecting your swing on our golf course.
